    Can I use this on carpet in a pontoon boat?

    Best Answer: I used it in a motor vehicle so I did not expose it to salt water. It worked well on the carpet in the vehicle but was a little darker due to the sun having faded it a bit.

    Best Answer: I do not believe this dye will work in a camper, as the carpet in a camper is similar to carpets house carpets.

    I have  2006 Chevy conversion van, how many bottles will I need to do the whole carpet. Which color is closest to the factory color? It's a dark tan/ light grey.

    Best Answer: The amount you will need depends on how faded the carpet is. 2 bottles could be enough but you might need 3-4 bottles especially if the carpet is pretty faded. For a light gray carpet, this Medium Gray would be good - we always recommend going 1 shade darker. This dye is transparent so will take on the color that is there, and then add more. If you want to lighten the dye up, you can just add more water!

    Can I go by the vehicle year make and model to get the right color match for carpet?

    Best Answer: That’s what I did and the match was pretty good. Due to living in Florida , my carpet had faded some from the sun, so there was a slight difference in the shade.

    I have a tan colored carpet, but it’s slightly stained and I was hoping to just dye it gray. Is the product going to turn it from a tan to a grey without it being blotchy or a completely different color?

    Best Answer: Would not work well for that application. This is for touching up and color match not color changes

    Best Answer: My wife accidentally used a cleaner with bleach on my grey carpet and the spots that she made were yellow also. I used the light grey initially and although it helped, it didn't fix the problem. I then used the medium grey and that took care of the spots. I ended up spraying the spots first and then sprayed the entire carpet, including the spots, because I wanted a perfect match. It turned out nearly perfect. Give your vehicle a few days with the windows open after the treatment though, it gets pretty humid inside due to the moist carpet.

    Best Answer: You can go from grey to a darker grey if you use dark grey or Black. These dyes are transparent so will take on the color that is there and add more to deepen the color.

    Faded carpet corrected
    I used the medium gray dye on my BMW convertible carpet that was faded from the sun. It now looks almost new. The color restoration was perfect. The carpet under the seat area wasn't dyed but matches the dyed areas perfectly.

    CARPET DYE
    Just a plain a old thank you for the great product.
    I am also going to give you a gracious thank you for the very informative video on the application process. With out the video i probably would have been lost. The job i did looks great and my girl friend thinks i am magic. Thanks again.

    I used your product on a used carpet that I bought from a wrecker. After a thorough cleaning, I used the product and it worked really well. The color ( medium grey) was perfect. The carpet looks new.

    This product works great but he isn't kidding when he says it goes on dark. Much MUCH darker than expected. Pick one shade lighter than you want!

    Medium Gray Carpet Dye
    Hi I was going to dye my carpet in my Suburban with this dye and I tried it on a floor mat to find out that I ordered the wrong dye. I just want to express when looking for a dye to use a lighter color because The dye color on the bottle is the color I wanted however if you spray it on it becomes darker than you would think! Over all the dye worked great Just wanted to help you out in choosing your color
