I want to dye the rear carpet on a 64 corvette How much would I need ? and will you ship to richmondhill ont or can I pick it up at your Vaughn location ?

Best Answer: Ken thank you for the great review, we appreciate your feedback and support.

Would this product work on sun-faded cloth sun visors?

Best Answer: I have not tried this product in the case. I have on the carpet with a very bad stain from my son spilling(saturated) carpet that had about 50% of the original color removed from deep cleaning solutions with excellent results. If I were doing it I might find material of similar type and experiment.

Realistically how many bottles for a Chevy Tahoe? I have black carpet, but is super dull and the color is tired.

Best Answer: Two bottles of this concentrate should be enough. If you have red stains and bleach stains you may want to grab a can of our aerosol carpet dye too for those really bad stains. Be sure your carpet has been cleaned and still a little damp when applying and scrubbing in the dyes.

I have slight fading on black carpet. Does interior trim need to be taped off or can it be wiped without staining, what is the dry time for normal use and for recoating if necessary? Thank you

Best Answer: Hey Steve!

With the liquid dye you would not need to tape anything off, but you can if you would like. It is a water-based dye, so if you wipe if off with a damp towel after you get it on any plastic trim it will come off. Normal dry time can vary, but we suggest overnight. You are also able to re-apply once it is dry to the touch

can this be used to dye a grey carpet to black?

Best Answer: Don't think you can. I believe the labels say it is a dye for colors to bring back the original color. Says it is not for color change.

can i use this product for dye the car seat cloth?

Best Answer: This dye is not formulated for cloth seats.

About how many bottles do I need for a 1992 Cadillac Fleetwood ?

Best Answer: 2 bottles using a 32 Oz spray bottle should be sufficient if you are just adding some pop to the carpeting. If you are attempting to cover stains for example, default to the aerosol product.

Can you use this product for cloth car seats?

Best Answer: I would not. I think it would be difficult to get even color results. Worked great on my 74 Corvette carpet.

I accidentally spilled bleach on my black carpet and it's now tan on the backseat area of the carpet. Will the product cover that huge bleach area?

Best Answer: You may want to try our aerosol black dye which is less transparent than the liquid.

Can the carpet dye be used on fading gym mats, like black or dark gray judo mats?

Best Answer: I have only used the dye on a car carpet Porsche Boxster head rest speaker assembly that I dyed from grey to black with this product. The results were adequate - you can’t really expect to get the manufacturers results with a bottle dye. It seems fast (doesn’t come off on your hands) but I don’t give it any surface contact on a day to day basis. Buy a bottle and try it on an area you don’t care about and then buy lots more to get the result you want.

Worked well.
Bought a police tahoe with no carpet. Got a faded one out of a wrecking yard and used your dye to bring back the color. Worked well . Some faded areas could have used more color but second coat didnt seem to help much. Over all made a huge difference

Restored faded carpet to like new!
Easy to apply and restored the faded carpet to like new. A great option to restore faded carpet versus buying a replacement. If you have not tried it I would recommend giving this a try. Easy to apply. Glad I found this product.

Black carpet dye worked perfectly. I started with a beige carpet that needed to become a black carpet. After cleaning the carpet piece and letting it dry, I sprayed on the black carpet dye. a few coats were required, but the final results was excellent. The piece looks like it was always a black carpet piece.

DK Carpet Dye
I recently used the DK Carpet Dye Concentrate on a black bleached out 1977 280Z. I ended up using 2 1/2 bottles on the car (Hatch rug and front. I probably coated the areas with at least 12 coats. I followed the directions on the bottle initially with 1:4 ration of dye to warm water. Due to the sun bleaching effect on the black carpet, I found I needed a less diluted concentration. I went 1:2 and it worked better for me. Overall, I was satisfied with the product. The actual videos from Detail King were extremely helpful.

Trying to renew some faded spots in my black auto carpet.
Was going to change the carpet in my 1971 Dodge Demon, but decided to salvage it by just dying the faded spots. Carpet was like new otherwise.
I decided to try the black carpet dye. It worked, but I did have to do it repeatedly over the faded spots several times during a week period. It also worked great on my WHITE peekapoo Cali! :)

I would recommend this product.

Faded 46 year old original carpet back to like new.
Worked just like it is advertised. In my 1974 Corvette I have the original carpet. Although it is in great shape the color was severely faded. The carpet dye brought back the color. I after waiting for the solution to dry I decided a second application was necessary. I suspect if I had used a stronger solution the results would have been fine but in my case the second application made it look like new.
