About The Mytee S-300 Tempo ™

This Mytee Extractor is a one gallon capacity unit and is a great “spotter” extractor or to be used on mainly small vehicles or vehicles that just need some areas of the carpet or upholstery touched up. Keep in mind, typically you need 2 to 3 gallons of water to clean an average sized vehicle’s carpets and upholstery. You would have to stop and fill this unit 2 to 3 times to clean interiors of larger vehicles.

We recommend that you consider the Mytee 8070 , Mytee HP60 or Mytee HP120 carpet cleaning machines if you will be cleaning medium to full size vehicles. Detail King does not accept returns on extractors that have been previously used just to try out. If you think this model is going to be too small for your use please consider purchasing one of the other models mentioned above.

Although, you can use hot tap water, making the Tempo™ a perfect extractor to do touch-up work and express carpet cleaning and spotting. This Extractor makes any task doable for the car enthusiast to a professional detailer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to use distilled water in this machine?

It is not necessary to use distilled water in this extractor. It is BETTER to use distilled water and the machine won’t get build-up as easily in the lines but regular tap water can be used so most detailers use plain water.
What is the difference between a carpet extractor and a steamer?

Carpet extractors shoot out hot water and suck it back up so they are meant for deep cleaning carpet/upholstery. Vapor Steamers boil water and put out steam so are meant for surface cleaning on a variety of surfaces.
Should I put chemicals inside my extractor?

For best results and we recommend NOT putting chemical inside the extractor although you can. If you put chemical inside of the machine every time you squeeze the trigger you are applying more soap into the carpet and never rinsing it out. Soap in the carpet will dry stiff, be sticky, and attract dirt quicker. If you put only water inside of the machine apply the soap to the carpet/upholstery with a spray bottle, you will be able to rinse everything out and that will leave a much nicer and more professional end result. You will also need to run a descaling solution like our Extractor Maintainer through the machine much more frequently if running chemical through the machine.

What is the amperage on this machine? Trying to see if it will work with a certain generator

Best Answer: The manual lists this unit at 7 amps and 12amps for the version with a heater. It only has a 16ga cord and it plugs into a standard 15 amp receptacle, so the max power draw is pretty much always going to be 12.

Best Answer: The pictures and description on the item page have the most up-to-date information. The video was shot prior to Mytee changing the body of the machine and including the Acrylic wand so the video will have a different looking machine but all of the features and specs remain the same. The tank molding changed and the upholstery wand changed.

Great machine

I have only used this a couple times so far and I’m very impressed with it. Cut my time in half compared to what I was using before. It said 3-4 weeks for shipping but received it within a couple days. Highly recommend this.

Small but Mighty!

Works like a champ. Has good power even for how small it is. I was super skeptical when I opened the box. Only thing I don’t like is the 1 gallon dirty tank. If I have a rough detail job I have to empty it multiple times.

Works great for a cold water machine!

I do wish I would have had the extra money to get the hot water machine but I haven't had an issue so far with not being able to get any seats or carpet clean. I've done 3 or 4 full details including full carpet and upholstery shampooing. It's worked great every time. It makes my job SO MUCH MORE EASIER than trying to use the Bissel spot clean machine I had been using. My customers definitely seem to like the job it does as well!

Impressive product

You can tell this product is very well made. It is small but it really extracts well and leaves upholstery and and carpet dry. I really like the clear nozzle and the spray is very accurate and doesn’t get all over. I only wish I would have bought a bigger tank but this size was in my price range.

Good Backup Unit

This is a good basic unit for taking care of spots, we have this unit as a backup to our Mytee Light, we also use this unit when doing the inside of midsized jets since there is so little space and our other works but is a bit too wide of a base to go to the back of the aircraft. Just remember to put in hot tap water since there is no heater in this unit.
