I am looking at connecting this a commercial kitchen water misting hood to recycle the water. Do you think this will work?

Best Answer: This will recapture water and filter it but it is not intended to filter to the point where it is completely clear water or drinking quality. We sell these to car washes and pressure washing businesses that use a lot of water and want to capture and reuse as opposed to keeping more water on hand. It will be good enough for the initial rinse on a carwash, but the final rinse would need to be fresh water so maybe give us a call and we can discuss if this would be a good option for you or not. Thanks for the info. We are looking for a solution to clean water for reuse so it could be a good option. I am waiting to find out from our plumber whether it could work in the restaurants we have. Can you please find out how much shipping to australia would be?

How long does the filtration system take to turn over 60 gallons of water?

Best Answer: This can keep up with a pressure washer putting out 8GPM...

Hello, how long does it take for the Alkota filtration system to completely clean the 60 gallons of water?

Best Answer: This is an on-demand system so there are many variables involved and its not intended to take 60 gallons, and then filter it until it is done. It is a completely pass-through system so as water is coming in, its getting filtered, and then once the tank gets full enough it automatically gets pumped out. This is meant to keep up with a 5GPM pressure washer so if you are spraying 5gpm, and sucking up consistently, you should not have down time...

Will bleach(SH) harm the recovery system components?

Best Answer: This would depend on the concentration of bleach. If you are sucking up 100% bleach, that would not be recommended but if you are sucking up dirty water that has bleach in it from cleaning with bleach, that would be fine. The interior of the machine is all stainless steel so bleach won't hurt that, and depdending on the concentration of the bleach you might need to replace the filters more frequently than if you were not sucking bleach up. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further feel free to call us at 724-325-0008. Thanks!

Is it mildew resistance?

Best Answer: It is not mildew resistant and will require regular cleaning

Is there a cleaning agent or soap that you recommend to use with the Alkota VFS recycling carwash?

Best Answer: There is not a specific soap, but we would recommend our heads up wash since it is a thinner product that will not cause much, if any, build up in the lines

Is there tank for dirt and oil removed that should be evacuated later?
