Grit Guard Insert
I own two of these I use one in wash bucket, other in clean water bucket, they let the residue filter down away from the clean solution, ,wiping the wash mitt or wash cloth on the guard helps clean the cloth for use.
I bought mine from US Plastics, they are red and match my red buckets.
Another quality item from Grit Guard are the bucket dollies.

Must Have Tool for a Safe Wash
I use these in all my wash buckets, along with the two bucket wash method. In fact many of my new clients with higher end vehicles actively ask if we use Grit Guards. Pro tip... use two of these Grit Guards in each bucket (use DKs 5 gallon buckets), stack one on top of the other & use one bucket for soap & the other filled with water for cleaning your wash mitt. After cleaning one or two panels dunk your mitt in the water bucket, scrub it along the guard, squeeze it out & grab some more soap.
