The Flex XC3401VRG Dual-Action Polisher uses dual-action technology to create substantial cutting power without the risk of swirling. Designed for comfort and control, the Flex XC3401VRG allows you to compound, wax, and seal without switching polishers!

- Dual-action movement generates effective and safe cutting power. The dual-action motion of the Flex XC3401VRG features a forced circular rotation with random oscillation. It has an 8 mm throw, creating 90% of the cutting power of a pure circular polisher with oscillations that safeguard against swirling. The best of both worlds!
- Bale-style handle designed for comfort. The Flex XC3401VRG places your hands at the 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock positions, allowing for an even weight distribution. This prevents your hands from fatiguing.
- Six-speed settings are convenient for compounding and polishing. The speed controls allow you to limit RPMs between 160 and 480. A variable speed trigger allows you to feather oscillations per minute up to the maximum set by the speed dial. You can compound on higher settings and decrease RPMs when applying waxes and sealants.
- Technological advances protect against damage. The Flex XC3401VRG has a seven-function microprocessor that maintains consistent speed, restart protection, overload protection, and temperature monitoring. The motor also has an auto shut-off feature that powers off when your brushes wear down, preventing damage.
- Efficient and easy to use for all paint correction steps. The Flex XC3401VRG finishes jobs quickly and effectively. You can use this polisher to compound, polish, and wax – it’s a jack of all trades!

What are forced-rotation polishers best used for?

Forced-rotation polishers can be used for
everything from heavy correction to polishing to applying wax/sealant. They can truly be used for the entire paint correction process and you can get great results not only with little experience, but also with very minimal risk! Forced rotation polishers should NOT be used for sanding.
What is the difference between a forced rotation polisher and a rotary polisher?

Forced rotation polishers oscillate AND rotate at the same time in a fixed pattern, while rotary polishers only rotate and spin in a circular motion. Forced rotation polishers can achieve almost the same level of paint correction that a rotary polisher is capable of, with much less risk involved, less surface heat, more working time, and a better finish as the end
result.
How much experience do I need to have to operate a forced rotation polisher?

Forced rotation polishers are very safe to use. There is not a high level of risk associated with using a forced polisher and beginners can achieve heavy paint correction without the risk associated with other types of polishers. There is always a risk when polishing paint but the risk is very minimal with a tool like this.

Best Answer: Those pads are for the Flex Mini PE8 Rotary along with their backing plates, only work with the Rotary.

3401 VRG the beast!

After purchasing the Flex DA I have never returned to an orbital. No swirls, perfect balance and extremely powerful if needed. No amount of pressure will even slow the buffer. Its the best ! I've bought a second one for my personal use as well as the mini for tight spots. Thanks Detail King for introducing me to this great polisher.

This was above my expectations coming from a Porter Cable. The power of this machine since it is gear driven makes this a whole new experience when actually " buffing ". Price is well worth it, would buy another one if needed, hands down.

Most Powerful Yet Safe DA Polisher

This is the most powerful DA I've used, yet safe enough to give to a beginner. I still tend to go to my Makita or Dewalt high speed since that is where most of my experience comes from, however I can see the Flex being able to do about 80% to 90% of my paint correction as I continue to use it. If you are just starting out as a pro & only can get one buffer this is the one I recommend.
